I think I may have carried away w/the tomato seeds...I had these old seeds from a tiny tomato garden pack someone gave me several years ago--didn't really except them to come up, but they ARE! In addition, to the 5 other varieties I couldn't resist. Tomatoes...we can't resist a nice lookin' tomato in my family...This year, Cherokee Purples, Green Zebra, Gold Nugget, Brandywine, Sweet 100s and all those baby 'maters...mmmmn.

Thanks, Majida! This is giving me lots of ideas. The best year I ever had for tomatoes was the one where I used a short old step ladder covered in plastic to keep the seedlings warm. Once tomatoes get cold roots(or hot roots!) they really never become super productive in my experience.....having this easy cold frame means no "I'm too tired to carry all those trays back to shelter" moments when we have an cold snap.

I love the use of the raised bed you already have.
