I do think you be all right, the red ribbon should not run in the refrigerator. Let us know how it turns out. good luck!

Hi Sue:

I’m not the cake expert, so I can’t provide you with a definitive answer. That's my main concern. This is my 2nd time using fondant. The wedding is Saturday evening. Thank you!

I’m making a wedding cake using fondant-the marshmellow recipe….going to make the ribbon red (wilton no taste food color) and was wondering if i decorate it on Friday and put in fridge will the red fondant run on the white? Watching Robin decorate her cake reminds me of watching the Olympic ice skaters…after watching I would go ice skating myself but couldn't do near what they did. =)Though, I have seen pictures and videos of peoples first time efforts of decorating with fondant - and they weren't all that bad. Maybe just giving it a go is the approach to take. It does look fun!

I guess it was a mini-lesson! That really peaked my interest. I've always been curious about cake decorating, but thought it a daunting task. Robin made it look fun and very creative.

It felt like Robin was giving a mini tutorial. Thank you! That really peaked my interest. She also shows you all the basic tools you might need to have on hand (and how she uses many of them), demonstrates how to make fondant from scratch (recipe included), and how to prep a cake for fondant decorating.Though Robin doesn't take you thru the steps of baking a cake, she does include her own recipes for Chocolate Buttermilk cake and Italian Meringue Buttercream frosting.I hope this answers your question - if not, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi Farah:

In the DVD, Robin gives step-by-step instructions on how to decorate a square cake and a 2-tier round cake with fondant – with many tips and creative ideas.
