isPermaLink="false">http://cookingupastory.com/?p=11342#comment-44949</guid> <description>Talking with my Mom about our SD trip, she shared a story from old days of being a kid on a farm near Crookston MN.  &quot;When Daddy said &#039;Let&#039;s go fishin&#039;&#039; we all knew what to do -- grab a bucket and run out into the crop fields and dig up some worms.  It only took a scoop or two and we had enough.&quot;  She said at the end of the day of fishing with bamboo poles bought from the local feedstore, any leftover worms were carefully returned to their home.  Made me think about Dan Forgey&#039;s rich, living soil ... contrasted with the sterility of so much monoculture.
