Old Fashioned Green Beans and Bacon

Ingredients

  • 3 14.5 ounce cans of green beans
  • 4-5 slices bacon
  • 3 medium sized potatoes, pared, cut into ½” pieces
  • 1/3 cup bean liquid (add water, if necessary)
  • dash salt
  • one-quarter large onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Drain beans, reserve liquid, fry bacon until crisp.
  2. Add potatoes, green beans, and remaining ingredients to bacon and fat.
  3. Cook covered about 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
