Inside a Modern Combine Harvester
Farmers across the country (and increasingly the world) rely upon technology as an integral part of their day to day farming operations.
On the Emerson Dell Farm, 5th generation farmer, David Brewer, takes us for a ride inside his modern combine harvester. It’s a John Deere, self-propelled thresher machine that separates the straw (chafe) from the grain. This type of wheat, soft white winter wheat, is used primarily in pastries and crackers.
