Sometimes the tables get turned. Cooking Up a Story has been telling stories for almost three years, and now it (happily) finds itself the subject of an upcoming story on NPR’s All Things Considered show. In the picture above, Rebecca Gerendasy puts an audio microphone on farmer Anthony Boutard of Ayers Creek Farm, as she works on a new story. April Baer of OPB is capturing audio b-roll for the piece she is producing for All Things Considered that will air Monday, January 5, 2009.

    Yes, it did!

Quite the experience to be on the other side of the microphone =)

    Hi Rebecca,

Did this ever air? I was listening then my radio connection cut out on my phone. I would love to hear an audio file.

    Congrats!

This is so exciting. Can’t wait for the show! Coverage on NPR – well, it doesn’t get much better. Be proud!

  4. Awesome news, Rebecca, and so well-deserved. Congratulations! I will feature you on ecopaparazzi as an Eco Active Celeb and promote the upcoming show. So let me know when it is scheduled to air, and we will time your feature accordingly. I know this feels good to you. Be sure and post an announcement about it on your profile pages at ecopaparazzi and Wired Journalists.

    Blessings!
    Jeanette

BTW, it looks like you are beating up that man in the photo, especially in the small version that comes through on the sidebar of ecopaparazzi. What a hoot!

  6. Great news! I look forward to seeing it.
