Food In Winter Repose

Winter has settled in and reminisces of gardens and fields of green are only a memory. Here is a nibble of some local fields and gardens in their winter garden slumber. Planning and planting anew is just around the corner!

      There is something about the winter months lingering over food in its complete dormancy and decay that gives you a moments pause to reflect and just enjoy the cold beauty. Hope you have a chance to enjoy it before the next season begins!

      Yay! I haven’t planned out my garden quite yet – thinking January. Looking forward to it, though! What will you start indoors first? Last year I started my tomatoes from seed in February and nursed them along. Though we had lousy weather for tomatoes last year, I’m hoping for a few more days of heat this year.
