Coming Next: Urban Farms

Tuesday
in the Kitchen: Aaron Woo of Natural Selection shows us how to make a Parisian herbed gnocchi served over a bed of English pea and basil pesto.

Wednesday
to the Field: The North Portland Farm is an urban farm project whose stated goals are to “grow fantastic food”, and to provide an educational, hands-on experience for people with disabilities. In this episode, we talk with the farm manager Tim Donovan, meet some of the people working on the farm, and see how this bike-delivering CSA operates in the city.

Thursday
Food Wisdoms: Can urban agriculture feed an entire city? What is a realistic goal for a city the size and makeup of Portland to grow its own food?

Most of the videos featured on Cooking Up a Story were produced, filmed, and edited by Rebecca Gerendasy. Fred Gerendasy contributed as a writer to many of the posts and occasionally as the interviewer. Visit Rebecca Gerendasy Clay – Art and Fred Gerendasy Photography to see their current work.
