Would You Eat Factory Farmed Chicken Knowing the True Facts?

Funny – but not really! A couple is seated at a restaurant table and have some questions first for their server before they order. Presumably a spoof on an earlier Portlandia (TV Show) episode, they want to know more about the factory farmed chicken on the menu. Their waitress begins with the impact on the local environment and continues to the ultimate effect on society…

Here’s a sample exchange:

Waitress: The CDC says this practice leads to antibiotic resistant bacteria which make people sick. So, you’re basically contributing to a public health disaster.

Female customer: Perfect!

Male customer: So, can you also tell us a little bit more about the massive meat company that produced them?

Waitress: Absolutely!

The video was produced by the Food and Water Watch where you can learn more about factory farmed chicken, how they are raised, processed, and what other alternatives might exist.
