Given the caliber of the people involved with this upcoming film, Food Chains, most notably investigative journalist, Eric Schlosser and writer, Barry Estabrook, both have strong connections in documenting the struggle of farm workers in this country— this is a film I’m looking forward to seeing. As the trailer illustrates, this is a deep-seated problem in agriculture and of society.
It is fundamentally in opposition to our values as Americans and as human beings. It’s time for the people who help bring us our food to be paid a living wage, and treated with dignity.
