Jack English Living Off The Land

“I don’t want to and I’m not going to, be in a convalescent home or a rest home— if I can help it”, says then 93 year-old Jack English.

When his wife passed away in 2001, she told him to live in his cabin that he built many years before. Located five miles from any road in a place he had been coming to since he was “a youngster”, Mr. English acknowledges that he has chosen a lifestyle that’s different. He prefers to go back in time, not forward.

A sweet story filmed by Grace Jackson.
