Visit to a Lavender Farm

Pictures of the Woodland Lavender Farm:

Lavender Field with Vineyards in Background

These are a few images from a recent visit to an organic lavender farm in Yamhill, Oregon. The farm sits on 30 acres of land in the Willamette Valley with almost an acre of lavender that were planted in 2006. Of the 7 different varieties that are grown on the farm, most were chosen for the quality and quantity of oils they produce. Many household commercial products contain lavender oils including perfumes, soaps, lotions, and many other types.

Late 1800's Original House On Property

This house was built in 1898, and had only 3 owners over the intervening years. The current owners bought the property in 1986, and lived in it for 5 years before building a new home on the east side of their property.
