Introducing Tricia Vevurka—New Online Community Manager for CUPS

Tricia Vevurka, new online community manager for Cooking Up a Story
Tricia Vevurka, new online community manager for Cooking Up a Story

April 4, 2012. We are pleased to introduce Tricia Vevurka (@TriciaVevurka) as our new (and first) online Community Manager for Cooking Up a Story. Tricia, in conjunction with the launch of our new series and channel on YouTube called Food Farmer Earth, will engage with our existing audience, and help us grow a vibrant community around the broad themes of our show on food and sustainable agriculture.

Tricia has worked a number of years in Social Media, and online marketing, and while obtaining her degree in Anthropology at Radford University in Southwest Virginia she became inspired by the traditional foods and herbal remedies of cultures from all over the world.

This is how Tricia describes herself, in part, she writes: “I have a passion for all things farming and cooking, especially eco-sustainable lifestyle choices. I also work a couple of days a week at my local farmers market, and take every opportunity to learn all I can from the farmers and artisans. I love to cook, and in addition to tending my own backyard chickens, and gardening (I admit, I love growing purple potatoes!), one of my favorite hobbies is to collect old cookbooks and rework the recipes with different ingredients”.

Please join us in welcoming Tricia to Cooking Up a Story!
