David Korten, Author, Visionary, Coming to CUpS

This post is under construction. A new video player will be added shortly.

David Korten, co-founder of Yes! Magazine, former Visiting Associate Professor of the Harvard University Graduate School of Business, and author of When Corporations Rule The World, and his most recent book Agenda For a New Economy, will be appearing next week on Food News and CUpS: Talks.

For those who may be wondering what is really going on with the economy, the central role of Wall Street in the financial meltdown, and the direct threat that capitalism poses to democracy, Korten delivers a powerful analysis of our present condition. He offers an alternative vision toward a sustainable economy, and the creation of a sane world that values life, and living ecosystems, above the mere accumulation of financial wealth, much of it, he derides as being “phantom wealth,” that fails to satisfy real human needs.
